AREAS CLOSER TO THE CITY
The acting in the Avenida Juan Carlos I is the first phase of a larger project that will try to convert the old road out of Cartagena to Los Dolores in a modern avenue.
Here we intervene to connect the rainwater network with the channeling of the Rambla New Cartagena, which will prevent flooding.
The first section is the street leading from the Castle of Good Love to the roundabout under the bridge cross shaft.
The surface treatment will bring the neighborhood of Los Dolores and Castillitos to Cartagena, including wide sidewalks and bike lanes.
With them pedestrians and cyclists may transit safely.
The last performance is to Didio Tito Avenue and a parallel street in Torreciega.
Again this is a project to improve the sewerage network, distribution and rainwater, which surface treatment is used to save space for pedestrians and bicycles.
Given the narrowness of this road in some sections, we will use a parallel street, near the monument of Torreciega to enable spaces for citizens and ride bicycles.
This project involves the improvement in other phases of Memorial Torreciega environment and the recovery of the old bridge over the railway, now in disuse for pedestrian and bicycle connection.
