The Mayor and the Municipal Corporation has expressed its condolences to the family of José García Espinosa, Cartagena exconcejal Hall, who died Wednesday at age 74.
Jose Espinosa joined the Municipal Corporation of Cartagena in 1983, lists the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE).
The mayor, Juan Martinez Simon, appointed Councilman Parks and Gardens, a responsibility he held following the resignation of Socialist mayor and the assumption of the Mayor by the cantonal Antonio Vallejo, who relied on a censure motion at the end of the legislature.
In 1987 was presented to the municipal elections as an independent in the PCAN lists.
The victory of the party in those elections, meant continuity in the Department of Parks and Gardens until 1991, when he retired from politics and public life.
During his eight years as head of this council was held, among others, the remodeling of the Alameda de San Antón, which has become a great avenue to replacing its eucalyptus trees more suitable for the urban environment.
The funeral will take place this evening from 18 pm at the funeral of Saint Lucia.
