The Journal of the European Route of Modernism, Coup de Fouet, which publishes information on the modernist heritage of Europe and the world has published a report on the 150th anniversary of the birth of Art Nouveau architect Victor Beltrí, who designed most of the buildings of Cartagena.
The article, which was published in issue 19 of the magazine, wrote William Cegarra Beltrí, honorary president of the Commission Beltrí 2012.
In it, Cegarra Beltrí account both in English and the history of Catalan architect born in Tortosa but worked primarily in Cartagena and La Union.
The report gives an overview of projects such as Casa Zapata, the Casa Dorda, Racing Club and the House of the Child, among others.
The European Route of Modernism is a non-profit organization formed by local governments and nongovernmental institutions that aim to promote international modernist heritage.
The map, which was established in 2000, also wants to encourage communication and exchange among its members to share experiences in restoration of monuments, public awareness programs, financing strategies and development of sustainable tourism.
