This person just out of prison, and requesting a meeting with his wife and daughter, which was separated
On July 20, a National Police officer, succeeded in deterring a person, after maintaining a long negotiation, of his intention to throw himself from a window on the fourth floor.
The facts are learned through various calls made by different people, about 15.30 hours, this room of 091, where an individual reported that he was on the ledge of a window on the fourth floor of a building located in the Celdran Francisco street, number 12, of this city.
Displaced several National Police units, the official serving in the Response Task Force (GOR) of the Local Public Safety Brigade, began a tense negotiation with the suicide to try to convince him to desist from their attitude.
During the conversation, this person made several feints he jumped, but was localized to his wife and son to talk with them.
The police officer, with great serenity and showing signs of an exemplary professionalism, managed to calm this person, offering to raise the floor where he was and try to convince him not to carry out their intentions.
Finally, this individual requested to meet privately on the floor only with the police and after a conversation of a tense ten minutes, the agent went with him abroad, to be attended by health services, who provided the necessary medication to calm their state of anxiety.
The place was required in addition to various units of National Police cordoned off the area, a unit of the EMU, and a fire engine Cartagena Park to try and deploy the means necessary to avoid the tragic decision of suicide.
Later this person, once stabilized by the emergency department, was arrested for breach of sentence, given that it had a restraining order regarding his ex-wife.
After the mandatory police inquiries processed, the detainee was brought before the police court Cartagena.
