The City of Cartagena, along with the Chamber of Commerce, has decided that the city and its region cross borders and gain adherents in the tourism market, particularly in Russia, for which hold meetings within a calendar that will culminate in November with the trip of a delegation to Russia, delegation, in principle, will be exclusively in the area, with the idea of giving due importance to its full potential, noted the Councillor for Tourism, Palazón Carolina.
The first of these meetings has been this morning at the Palace Hall, where he met the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, the Councillor for Tourism, Palazón Carolina, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Cartagena, Miguel Martinez, and the representative INFO and the Chambers of Commerce of the Region of Murcia in Moscow, Roman Assev.
The purpose of these meetings to design a strategy to promote Cartagena and its surroundings in the Russian tourist market, more and more demanding, seeking not just sun and sand, without something else, like sports and cultural activities.
In this sense, claimed Miguel Martinez, our city has much to offer, since we have all that and a rich heritage to show.
Meanwhile, Roman Assev was optimistic about the success of the promotional package of Cartagena in Russia, since so far the only Russian tourist destination of Spain was known Catalonia, and what he is going to offer something new, different and very attractive with the addition that the crisis has not yet made ​​a dent in Russian society and now, being cheaper euro, have more money to spend.
