¼ Piragà ism, diving, water skiing and water sports are some of the activities scheduled within the program Youth Leisure and Free Time Alternative (T-LA) summer.
Young people do not have time to get bored during the summer holidays, as this edition of the T-LA includes 88 different activities, among which are the sports and travel, according to the president of the Youth Council, Manuel Soler and the Councillor Youth, Ruth Collado.
The activities will start in July and will last until end of September.
These include a cycling tour, canoeing and hiking on the Mar Menor, visits to the Aqualandia water park, a trip to Port Aventura, baptisms and diving courses, rafting through the Canyon of Almadenes, skating on ice rink in Elche Astronomical Navigation and workshops, among others.
They will continue the language courses such as Mandarin Chinese.
The organizers will go further and advance the teaching of this language not only orally, as has been done the previous months, but also taught writing classes.
Youth expects at least 3,500 young people participate in these activities. That is the minimum amount of participation that we each trimester, explained the president of the Youth Council.
The activities of the T-LA Spring 4334 youth participated and was allocated the same budget as there is for summer programming: 9,000 euros.
We are very pleased with the participation, assured the mayor, especially with the Meeting Interasociativo, involving 1,500 boys.
On the other hand, when asked by reporters, Collado has talked about youth unemployment and has also indicated that many young people now choose to continue their education, as they no longer enough just to have some basic studies to get a job.
