Gisbert Street has now reopened to traffic after the end Aquagest staff two days ahead of schedule the cleanup of one of the collectors.
The road has been cut from 6 June 8-14 hours due to maintenance works and cleaning of the collector at the junction of that road with Duke Street.
It is a circular manifold 800 mm, situated 6 feet in depth, which must be cleaned around 120 meters.
Staff Aquagest, concessionaire of sewerage in the city, has had to work to clean from inside the pipe, special performance that has required security measures, such as the use of semi-autonomous breathing apparatus, gas detectors, masks, safety harness and tripod.
It is also necessary to remove all water before going to work.
