The work of Ceramics and Painting Workshops conducted in the Plastic Arts of the People's University, have been the subject of an exhibition to mark the end of the course, which opened Wednesday at the Cultural Center Luzzy Ramon Alonso.
The event was attended by the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, accompanied by the councilors of Education, Josefa Maroto, Celebration, Florentina Garcia and Women, Clara Heredia, besides Dora Caterineu sculpture, painter Luis Gonzalez-Leader and Pepe English potter .
In these workshops, with which the UP is celebrating its 30th anniversary, have also helped other artists such as Enrique Navarro Carter, Jeanne Jorquera, Ã Ngela Acedo and Esteban Bernal.
The common thread in the sample of Ceramics was the trip to the beauty, both exterior and interior, and the other part consisting of a series of pieces played and inspired by the Hispano-Muslim art with manganese sgraffito technique.
The drawing and painting workshop, meanwhile, presents the works of 86 students, who deal with the concept of the journey singled in three destinations: Paris, Rome, New York.
The exhibition will be on display until June 22.
