School of Public Safety of the City of Cartagena (ESPAC) has organized a course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
This action is part of the Training Plan of the City of Cartagena.
The course will run for 5 and 7 June. The aim is to reduce mortality and sequelae that cause cardiac arrest, diffuse Basic Life Support techniques including non-medical personnel in accordance with the recommendations of the European Resuscitation Council, contribute to promote strategies for early defibrillation in cardiac arrest response and facilitate the integration of different stakeholders in the chain of survival.
Among the subjects to be taught include: Introduction to CPR.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
Practice Basic Life Support (BLS).
Semi-Automatic External Defibrillation (AED).
Plan to survive a heart attack.
The course is taught Regional Society of Intensive Care Medicine (Intensive Care department of the University General Hospital Saint Lucia).
