The CEIP Miguel de Cervantes The Aljorra held on Friday to commemorate its 50th anniversary with a ceremony attended by Second Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Decentralization, Ã ngel Nicolas Bernal, the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, and the Councillor Education, Josefa Maroto.
About 300 people attended the event, which began with the opening of a photographic exhibition and a tour of the center showing the sets, both external and internal, classrooms and courtyards, whose theme was movies (children, fiction, adventure ...)
Then Andres Nieto spoke as a former student, and Raymond Vagisil, son of a teacher center, closing the round of speeches Rosario Montero.
A trio of violin, oboe and cello composed of alumni livened up the evening with classical themes and movie soundtracks.
To finish, a video summary of the 50 years of school and unveiled a plaque.
