The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, has signed this morning eleven loans with as many financial institutions amounting to 35.7 million euros for payment to suppliers.
Operations, supported by the Official Credit Institute (ICO), will allow from May 31, according to estimates in the Ministry of Finance, the credit institutions themselves begin to transfer the amounts due the providers by the consistory Cartagena as of January 1, 2012.
Institutions participating in the operation were:
Santander (4.4 million), BBVA (1.6 million) BMN Cajamurcia ¿(2.5 million) Cajamar (1 million) La Caixa (4.4 million) CAM Bank (1.1 million), Banesto (5.4 million ) Bankia (4 million) Banco Popular (7.6 million) Sabadell (2.1 million) Bankinter (1 million).
Councillor for Finance, Fatima Suanzes, highlighted the significant economic boost it will bring a thousand small and medium enterprises and autonomous from the city to pay this debt, corresponding to about 5,000 bills have been reviewed by the municipal services.
The operating conditions are similar to that of other Spanish municipalities: a repayment term of 10 years, with a gap of two and a stake of around 5.9 percent.
