The course Discover Your City and its customs, organized by the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, organized on Tuesday a practical class that took a group of 40 older to visit the area of Mar Menor.
The class, which also addressed the Campo de Cartagena, in its route included the General Air Academy in San Javier, the Baths of Spa of the Incarnation, the Virgin of Pasico and traditional mill and the Pinion House in La Union, an activity that joined the federation on Aging with its president, Mary Beteta, at the head.
The course began on March 20 and end on June 12 with a total of 1 1 sessions on Tuesdays from 11:00 to 13:00 in the hall of the building of La Milagrosa.
The aim is to improve social relationships and group of the elderly and disabled, develop curiosity and knowledge of the environment and enhance self-esteem.
Participants are people aged between 65 and 70, and the contents of the issues and exposure are performed by the coordinator of the course, the greatest educator, Ă Gueda Carralero, alternating theoretical and practical sessions working.
In the first part as expert speakers on various subjects to be taught as a practical class and visit the sites and facilities of the city, with work in the classroom for two hours each session.
