The Joint Committee composed of City Hall, the COEC and the Chamber of Commerce, designed to work together to create formulas for creating jobs and wealth in the town, met today to review the measures already being taken from facing local government to revive the economy.
Reductions in the Economic Activity Tax (IAE), reductions in the Building, Facilities and Works (ICICI), revision of rates in the industrial waste are some of these measures, which joins a new initiative, pointing Councillor for Infrastructure, Francisco Espejo, after the meeting, and that the terraces may be installed by a signed declaration by the employer, who is given this facility, but will have to face the consequences if it fails.
A tax exemption is to unite the efforts of the City Council to streamline administrative procedures, which, in turn, is aimed to boost the productive fabric of the region by encouraging the creation of zones of entrepreneurs by facilitating the establishment of companies in those areas where there is predisposed to it.
All this was revealed at the meeting of the Joint Commission, which was attended by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, together with the councilors of Infrastructure, Francisco Espejo, Planning, Joaquín Mowing, Employment, Diego Ortega, Trade, Mariano Garcia Finance Suanzes Fatima, and Culture, Rosario Montero besides the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Miguel Martinez and COEC president, Pedro Pablo Hernandez.
Conclusion: the positive aspect of these meetings, and the willingness by all parties concerned to seek solutions to the crisis, developing and consolidating businesses to be able, in turn, generate employment, as noted by the Presidents of Chamber of Commerce and COEC.
Despite our low-skilled employment, assured Francisco Espejo, the municipal government does not resign at any time the role it plays, so we continually look measures capable of generating hope and future for the city.
