The Information Committee of Finance and Home Affairs, meeting this afternoon, chaired by the councilor of the area, Fatima Suanzes, reported favorably, unanimously concluding a loan of up to 37 million euros which is guaranteed by the State through the Official Credit Institute (ICO), and will go to pay the City's indebtedness to suppliers, to December 31, 2011.
The opinion has had with the abstention of the United Left and the Citizens Movement, and the votes for the PP and the PSOE.
As explained Fatima Suanzes, this operation, which must be approved by the plenary on Monday, May 14, will involve the injection of 35.7 billion euros in the local economy.
This is the amount that the services of Accounting and Treasury have determined that is owed to suppliers, after contrasting the nearly 5,000 bills of about 1,000 companies that have benefited from this Payment Plan, which may eventually charge for that month .
After approval by the Plenary of this operation, the ICO will determine banks with which the City will sign the loan, to be amortized over a period of 10 years, with a gap of two and a stake of around 5 percent .
