During the month of April, local police reported 439 vehicles to exceed speed limits in the 31 controls that were practiced in various parts of the municipality.
In total, 9,206 vehicles were checked, registered to 6265 exceeded the average speed in different sections and channels, such as Sebastian Feringán, Avenue Victor Beltrí, Paseo Alfonso XIII, Quarry Road and different points of the Industrial Park.
Thus, the vehicles are a reported 4.7 percent of the total, thus demonstrating that the vast majority of drivers respect the speed limits.
Exceeding speed limits can lead to penalties of up to 600 euros, the deduction of six points driving license, withdrawal of license and imprisonment, depending on how long overdo.
