Buses travelers won last year.
In 2011 there were 378,514 travelers who chose public transport over the previous year.
In total, used the city bus 5,221,967 people, representing a 7.81% more users than in 2010.
According to the data deck Alsa, the concessionaire of public transport, line 18, which goes to the Hospital of Santa Lucia, which registered the highest volume users, with 234,130 travelers.
In addition, the line of Icue Bus II, line 9, had 85,911 users, while in 2010 the circuit buses carried 70,690 passengers.
The increase in users is that now the City is in the center of the city.
On the other hand, line 3 has had a decline in passenger numbers and increased from 287,104 in 010, to 214,416 in 2011.
This is due to closure of the Naval Hospital.
BONUS FOR UNEMPLOYED
It has also launched a bus voucher for the unemployed. From now on, the unemployed may apply for this card.
