Over 130 volunteers will participate in the fourth edition of Night of Museums, which will be Saturday May 19.
Most young people involved in this activity Implica2 program coordinated by the Department of Youth come from Cartagena but there are a large number of young people from other parts of the region as Molina de Segura, Murcia, La Union, Source Ă lamo, Los Alcazares or other cities such as Madrid, Alcoy, Valencia and Granada.
Also, students participaránlos Integrated Training Center of Hospitality and Tourism students UPCT, Commissioners Beltrí 2012 and, especially, many enrolled in a personal capacity.
Young people will work in different ways.
They can sponsor museum pieces and explain their history to visitors, may also contribute to the guided thematic tours, offered to explain the museum displays or be in the logistics section and help staff the museums and interpretation centers to inform visitors, capacity control, record or report access at street level to the general public of the various activities taking place, the place and time.
The volunteers have liability insurance, accreditation and clothing that identifies them, receive supplies that night and are pre-prepared to fulfill their tasks properly.
This year for the first time will award a free ticket to use in the month of June for two to any of the museums and museum centers participating in the Night of Museums.
In the case of students of UPCT involved as a volunteer, the university offers free elective half credit.
The program Youth Space Implica2 the Youth Council is part of Cartagena Municipal Volunteer Program and aims to promote voluntary action and promote social participation of young people.
