On Friday, May 4, will be the closing event and award ceremony of the XXIII Olympiad Mathematics Memorial Francisco Ortega, in which the professor of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Mathieu Kessler, will give the Statistics, a partner in the construction of our societies.
The event will be held at 12 am in the IES the Bohio de Cartagena, organizer of this event, with which it comes to spark interest in math and encourage the study, giving a playful content.
The tests were held last February 10 and involved high school students from colleges and vocational schools.
They had to solve various mathematical exercises for up to two hours.
The first prize is 600 euros and a first-year scholarship at the university centers of the Region of Murcia.
The delivery will be present the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto.
