The Local Government Committee today approved the proposal of Councillor à Area Public Roads and Markets, Mariano Garcia, on resolution of complaints and developing a new list of award and substitutions of market stalls in the town of Cartagena for the year 2012.
As explained by the council, during the public exhibition of lists there were 23 claims, of which 14 were admitted, which carry a incrmento of 27 posts in the markets, as some of the claimants esra holding various positions.
These new posts were added to the 1,611 approved under the Sales Plan for 2012 in the 16 markets in the municipality, being a provisional expansion and amortized through the end of the year.
According to Mariano Garcia, this is a special measure has been taken to try not to harm a group of families living on street vending.
In addition, says the mayor, they all meet a requirement, which is to have no outstanding debts with the City and be current on their tax obligations.
In the proposal approved today by the Governing Board, has informed all the associations and groups affected by the bylaw, such as the Markets Traders Association, COEC, Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Traders, Markets, Federation Neighborhood Associations and Neighborhood.
