Mayor Pilar Barreiro did not want to sit alone in the unemployment figures or data destruction companies.
The first municipal authority has gone further and recognized at the opening of the XIII Conference of Business Leaders COEC organized by the effort of entrepreneurs in job creation.
Under the title The Challenge 2012, Barreiro opened the day in which we will analyze the current economic situation and its evolution.

During his speech, Barreiro noted that the task of government is not to create jobs, but provide the procedures for employers who hire them are personal.
In recent months, the City has implemented various measures to facilitate the creation of businesses in the township.
Removed the construction tax to all businesses that locate in industrial estates and bonuses up to 50% of the IAE (Business Activity Tax) for companies to increase their workforce.
To this is added the charge of administrative simplification, which allows to express license annoying or dangerous activities, allowing Urbanism attend at least 70% of the licenses of employers.
The mayor will convene in the coming days employers to a joint committee to listen to employers and tell them and make them aware of the measures it has implemented the City Council.
It will discuss possible improvements and projects to be undertaken.
Also in his speech highlighted the evolution of the city in recent years.
He talked about the tourism potential of Cartagena, which already has 15 museums, an Auditorium and Convention Centre and recently opened to the public on the windlass Archaeological Park. Additional benefits are the opening of the new plant of the refinery, which, according to Barreiro, create jobs in the city now and in the future.
Large investments in tourism infrastructure in the town, said the mayor, are around 180 million euros. With those words has answered those who still doubt how the City invests public money.
