Social Care Councillor of the City of Cartagena, Antonio Calderon, Tuesday chaired the closing ceremony of Kitchen Operations in a ceremony held at the premises of these courses, in the building of La Milagrosa, with the delivery of diplomas to the 14 students who participated in it.
The Municipal Institute of Social Services has been in charge of organizing this course of vocational training for unemployed, which is subsidized by the Regional Employment Service and Training of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and funded by the European Social Fund.
After passing the course, students will perform 80 hours of labor practices from 26 April to 18 May in the following companies catering: The Tartana, Tapería, grilled and Serena Golf in Los Alcazares.
The course Basic Kitchen Operations began on January 9, with 280 teaching hours, in which students have trained in Health and Safety, Environmental awareness and gender equality, Job placement, procurement of raw materials, pre-processing and preservation culinary basic cooking Elaborations and snacks, tapas and main courses and desserts elementary, among other subjects.
With this type of course, City Council and Autonomous want to answer the great demand in the services sector in the region, enabling the necessary training to the unemployed of working age and job seekers, in order that such specific actions allowed inclusion in the workforce.
