Now this service one step further and, in addition to electronic books, available to users 25 reader devices known as e-readers, which are the medium in which you can read the first, a novelty that presented today the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, and the coordinator of archives and libraries, Cayetano Tornell.
With this action, the City wants to contribute to the popularization of e-book, claimed Montero, maximizing the potential of new technologies, because they save time and space, while cares to reduce use of paper.

Among the 500 books he has available on the website, there are works by García Márquez, Vargas Llosa, Isabel Allende, etc..
and titles of subject areas such as medicine, architecture or botany, which will be added shortly comics and children's literature.
From April to December 2011, there were over 2,000 hits and 250 loans were made ​​from the platform managed by this service.
So far this year the increase in visits and loans is much higher, so much so that when finished will have tripled by 2012 this figure.
