Cels Memory is a project of audiovisual memory retrieval in the region that began last February in the Center of Documentation and Advanced Studies of Contemporary Art (CENDEAC), developed from the Film Craft Lab Medusa Mediation by the group ( www.medusamediacion.com ) and mirror ( www.salvivivancos.com ).
Celluloid memories also has the support of the Regional Film and dissemination in Cartagena in collaboration with the bar's Cathedral.
Following the success of the first call has decided to extend the project by inviting everyone with Super 8 films and 16 mm to the rescue.
Or amateur home movies that were shot in the sixties and seventies, and today very few can see the gradual disappearance of cinema projectors, retain a fundamental part of personal and collective memory, and how it has Murcia transformed society over half a century.
It is an attempt to reconstruct the social memory of the fragments from each family film.
In these short films you can find important information about issues that the official story, usually interested in the great events, tends to neglect, as festivals and social gatherings, among other events.
From April 19 until May 4 opens the deadline for delivery of movies.
The films may have been filmed in Cartagena much as any other point in the region, will also be accepted amateur fiction films.
Anyone interested can submit their films on mirror (Salvador Vivancos Photography, situated at No. 20 Santa Florentina of Cartagena, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 17.30 to 20.30), the Youth Resource Center (Paseo Alfonso XIII, No. 53 of Cartagena, 9 to 14., and 17 to 20h, Monday through Friday), or CENDEAC (Hall 5 of the Old Artillery Barracks, Murcia, Monday through Thursday from 9 to 20 pm and Friday from 9 to 14 hours).
All films will be cataloged and they will take out a selection for digitization and visibility in an open meeting to be held on Saturday 19 May in the program of the Night of Museums in Cartagena in Student House (C / Angel, No. 26).
The selected films will be returned with a digital copy.
