The Department of Social Services City of Cartagena this morning held a meeting with the various associations of Roma settled in the township.
The meeting was framed within the activities marking the International Roma Day, held last April 8.
Among those present was Councilman, Antonio Calderon, with the director of the Municipal Institute of Social Services, Antonio Mule, technicians and members of the council Asprosocu Association, Association Forum Intercultural Nova Roma and Carthage.
The meeting analyzed the situation of Roma associations in Cartagena, gathering requirements and providing new proposals for joint work.
As explained sources of the Department, the target was none other than trying to unite the whole gypsy movement to coordinate efforts and capitalize on the media and the available spaces.
This has been the work plan currently developing, needs and difficulties that have faced and how, resources and participation of youth and generational change, among other issues.
