Mayor Pilar Barreiro has become today to discuss the Adjustment Plan which has developed the City of Cartagena to access the bottom of the National Government that will allow you to meet the debt to suppliers estimated at 37 million euros over the next 10 years.
The document has been ruled this afternoon by the Finance Committee with the unanimous support of the government team, and stand against the three opposition parties: PSOE, IU-Greens and Citizens Movement.
Barreiro has said that since 2008 it launched a first adjustment plan, the City has managed to save 32 million euros.
The mayor added that the City's financial and economic situation, achieved through the efforts of control spending in the last four years, can choose to fund payments to suppliers authorized by the Government of Spain.
In the Adjustment Plan setting out the revenue and expenditure forecasts for the next 10 years, according to the mayor, the government demonstrated that the city of Cartagena is able to balance their books, not create a deficit, maintaining the municipal staff, provide services to citizens and addressing investments.
