The offering of the Ounce of Gold that the City of Cartagena made their patron saint, the Virgin of Charity, bound for the sick poor of the Holy and Royal Charity Hospital, has served 250 years.
Last Friday marked the anniversary of the Ounce of Gold Conference History 250 years of the Ounce of Gold, in the church of Charity.
The conference introduced the big brother of Charity Hospital, Jose Vera Sanchez, and a speaker's brother, the Governing Board, Joaquin Roca Dorda.
Subsequently, there was a round table chaired by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, which involved the three exacaldes, Juan Martinez Simon, Antonio Vallejo and Jose Antonio Alonso.
