Local police have already trained to cater to foreigners visiting Cartagena and, indeed, if tourists do not speak Spanish. Thirteen officers have received this morning from the hands of Public Safety Councilman Mariano Garcia, and Chief Inspector Local police, Manuel Asensio, the diplomas of the English course tourism.
During the ceremony, which also delivered a plaque to the President of the University Foundation Isidoriana and Cartagena Royal Economic Society, for their cooperation at the time of delivery of courses, Asensio has stressed its desire to improve care foreign citizen.
The classes were taught only in English.
In them, the police have learned to indicate where they are located monuments or buildings representative and guide tourists to avoid losing the city.
Meanwhile, the mayor thanked Public Safety for the institutions that are committed to enabling its idea of expanding the services it provides both the local police to Cartagena as the outsider.
