Campos said the new headquarters is a "cornerstone to coordinate efforts in security and surveillance in the Campo de Cartagena, as well as to intensify the fight against thefts and robberies in this area."

With an area of ​​200.33 meters square, the new building for the Cartagena police organization will improve the effectiveness of police activity in different areas and districts northwest of Campo de Cartagena.

The rehabilitation of the Castillito, built in 1899 and declared of Cultural Interest (BIC), as the new headquarters of the local police have made a total investment of 585,000 euros, of which the regional government has provided 375,000 euros through its budget, aimed at improving local police units and the material.

The new headquarters of the local police has three floors and an attic technical area under cover, in which services are organized and administrative operations of the various security forces.
