The Municipal Office of Consumer Affairs has organized for 27 and 28 March a conference to be held in the auditorium of the Roman Theatre and will focus on the consumer's position against electronic commerce and telephony services
The helplessness and lack of information which is, in many cases, the consumer when basic supplies contract services through new technologies, is what has prompted the Consumer Service of the City of Cartagena has been promoting a Conference, the fifth, which, under the title The consumers from e-commerce and mobile services will be held on 27 and 28 March.
The opening of the conference will be borne by the general manager of Consumer Affairs, Trade and Handicrafts of the Region of Murcia, Maria Dolores Alarcon, the councilor of à area of Government Decentralization, Citizen Participation, Agriculture, Health, New Technologies and Consumer Nicolas Bernal à ngel, the council of consumption, Alonso Gomez, and the Dean of the College of Telecommunications Engineering of the Region of Murcia, Juan Luis Pedroza.
Registration is free, can be made ​​until March 23 through AITERM, first-served basis (limited to 80 people) and will be carried out in the hall of the Teatro Romano, in the afternoon from 17:00 to 20 : 00 hours.
These days, prepared in collaboration with the Association of Telecommunications Engineers of the Region of Murcia (AITERM) are included within the actions of local government designed to inform and educate a global citizen on issues that affect them directly.
Looking at the comparative data of the last two years, in regard to the number of inquiries received concerning services of basic supplies, of which 1,189 were made ​​in 2010 have passed 5,978 in 2011.
Moreover, of all these services, fixed telephony and mobile represent 88 percent of the queries, complaints and requests for arbitration made ​​by consumers and users.
