More than 80 food industry professionals and students from 16 countries will meet from 22 to 28 March at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena in the VI International Course minimum post-harvest technology and processing.
The course, organized by the research group of post-harvest and cooling UPCT, offers more than thirty lectures by experts and professors of universities and research centers in the United States, Chile, France, Italy and Spain among other countries as well as relevant technical international companies in the horticultural sector.
Participants will visit companies and industrial facilities in the region and participate in demonstrations.
The course director, Professor of Food Technology Artés Francisco, says that nearly half of those registered to the course come from outside Spain.
70% of the participants are technicians, managers and directors of food businesses.
Among the topics to be discussed are the latest innovations related to fourth range vegetable products, ie those sold cleaned and sliced, ready to eat.
