The Department of Infrastructure has started work this morning to test a solution that could be definitive on the broken pavement of the Merganser.
As explained in this department sources, the test consists of a cloth cobblestone ginned up to Seville Square for sustiruirlo by asphalt.
Thus, the sidewalks would continue with cobblestones, while the central area of the street, which is used by vehicles, asphalt would become, but at the same height and no curbs.
In principle this is a test that should be assessed after about effectiveness and aesthetics.
From satisfactory, could be applied to the entire street before the Holy Week processions.
However, the area of the Church of Charity would continue with its current pavement, as it has a special treatment and has not deteriorated by the passage of vehicles.
Technicians of the council are confident that this arrangement may be a solution for the street, to be conditioned before Easter for the passage of the Holy Week processions.
