The Faculty of Sciences of the Company receives from 27 February to 15 April Easter Polytechnic sample.
Technology in the processions of Cartagena.
The exhibition, whose opening ceremony on Monday was attended by the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, looks back on the introduction into the various processions of technologies such as power lines, advances in mining engineering and naval or industrial development.
The aim of the exhibition is to show how the guilds have been perfecting this tradition through technological advances of the times, so an overview of the history, industry, economy and society over the past Cartagena 150 years.
It has also organized a lecture series that will explain the industrial revolution in the intangible heritage, the historic armory in the Grenadier Regiment of the California Guild and technology support to the Cartagena passion.
The first lecture, on Monday, was given by art historian Heritage Service Jose Francisco Lopez, and focused on what he called the Easter Polytechnic.
On Tuesday February 28, lawyer and historic weapons specialist Miguel Pouget will talk about the historic armory in the Grenadier Regiment of the California Guild.
Finally, on 8 March, UPCT professor and curator of its Museum of Technology, Joaquin Roca Dorda, give a talk on technology support Cartagena passion week.
