The Nursing School of Cartagena is left untouched.
Remains in public ownership and management will keep the University of Murcia.
This is what we have agreed today at noon the CEO of Universities and Scientific Policy of the Autonomous Community, Eduardo Osuna, the City of Cartagena, represented by Joaquin Segado, the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Relations and Health Sciences, University of Murcia, Manuel Vidal, and representatives of the Nursing School of Cartagena.
The CEO, Eduardo Osuna, has welcomed this agreement which is to ratify the Regional Government will maintain the public character of the School of Nursing at the University of Cartagena in Murcia.
It also highlights the spirit of dialogue of all parties, especially the group of students of the School.

When done, the first deputy mayor, Joaquín Segado, confirmed the readiness of the University of Murcia to keep the management of the school and the commitment to maintain and improve these studies in the port city.
Also denied that institutionally Segado had taken steps to privatize this teaching, as has been published for days in the media.
Since last Monday, several nursing students had locked themselves in the headquarters of the School, located in the Plaza San Agustin, to protest the privatization of education.
The University of Murcia, and regional and local governments signed an agreement in 2007 and constituted a monitoring committee on nursing studies in Cartagena. We agreed to convene soon to go forward, Joaquin Segado indicated, we know that is not the best time to invest but want to share our ideas for the project of a new School of Nursing at Cartagena near the Hospital of Saint Lucia.
