The councilman of Social Care was asked to perform on Monday kick off the start that this sporting event, involving eleven teams from as many districts and municipal councils
The councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon was asked to perform, on Monday in the Barrio Jose Maria Lapuerta, the kick off with that started the IV Championship City Petanque Cartagena 2012, organized by the Municipal Social Services and the Federation of Associations and Centres for the Elderly of the city.
A total of eleven teams, both male and female, will contest the tournament will be held every Monday and Wednesday l, from 16.30 to 17.00 hours in the fields of conditioning of the participants: Alum, Vista Alegre, José M ª Lapuerta, Mills Marfagones, Home III, Our Lady of Charity, The Barreros and Barrio de la Concepción.
The championship, which aims to promote the active participation of older people in sport, while promoting the acquisition of healthy habits and improve social relations will end in May with the presentation of trophies to the top four.
