The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, has issued the Edict of traditional facades in order to facilitate the work of embellishment, usually an owner of houses and buildings of Cartagena and the municipality with a view to the celebration of Holy Week processions.
Thus understood licenses granted all works carried out since the publication of this camp, on Wednesday February 22 until next March 30, Good Friday, and aimed at cleaning and decoration of the facades.
To qualify for benefits under this provision, the works must comply with the aesthetic guidelines of the Special Plan of Management and Protection of the Historic Cartagena, leaving out those affecting listed buildings, whose licenses are to be handled in any case, accordance with the procedure established by law.
In addition, the application will be outside of this Proclamation, licenses requiring approval of the Coasts, when homes are located in the Public Domain or Easement Sea and Land Traffic, of the Directorate General for Transport and Ports of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, where the houses are located in Protection Easement, or any other administration, to be in public areas or condition requiring express authorization.
