The young Alberto Sanchez Segado Cartagena, 24 years old and graduated in Communication Studies, has been named the winner of the Poster Competition of the International Day of Women, a work of Pop Art inspired by the figure of the woman and her diversity.
The jury, chaired by the Councillor for Women, Clara Heredia, met Friday to discuss the pre-selected 21 papers submitted to the contest and those who, finally, the poster was Alberto Sanchez winning prize of 300 euros, failure has been released today.
The twenty pre-selected works will form part of an exhibition which will be open during the month of March at the Cultural Center Luzzy Ramon Alonso.
The winning poster will image the commemoration of the March 8, International Women's Day in Cartagena in 2012, acts which, as every year, try to raise awareness among women and the whole of the public on equality and rejection of gender discrimination.
