The program developed by the Space Implica2 Youth and the Youth Council brings together young people engaged in Cartagena, has collected more than half a ton of plastic caps for the Spanish Association Family Ataxia-Telangiectasia (AEFAT).
This first delivery will not be the last, was held on Friday in the hamlet Murcia Bacons Bridge, where the vice president of the association have a family farm where the plugs are deposited from around the country.
With this type of recycling solidarity, it comes to moving and raise large numbers of people, demonstrating that with a little effort can help and contribute a bit in the field of research of this rare disease, affecting 12 children in the Iberian Peninsula, especially in the Levant without, so far, are known causes.
The campaign to collect caps solidarity, involving schools, gymnasiums and small businesses, began last December and so far, there is no deadline to collaborate.

Remember that just any hard plastic cap: water bottles, soda, milk in tetra brick, cleaning products, etc.
The association needs to reach the 300 tons of plugs to afford research laboratories.
At the moment, and only in the region of Murcia, have exceeded 20 tons.
A DISEASE RESEARCH
The AEFAT is an association that helps people with a so-called rare diseases, Ataxia-Telangiectasia.
As expressed in its web is formed by relatives and persons related to sick / ataxia telangiectasia ace of different parts of Spain.
The goal is to get the minimum funding to start a research project of the disease, so they need an amount ranging between 50,000 and 60,000 euros.
There are currently two laboratories that have shown interest in starting this research: one in Bilbao and another in Granada.
