On the occasion of the celebration of Carnival in Cartagena, the local police will mobilize a total of 40 reinforcing agents, amount will vary between Friday 17 February, where they begin the traditional children's parties in the different schools of municipality, which is added a rider that will cover up the town, and on Saturday 18, which will boost up to 27 troops for security and surveillance of areas where events occur in the Grand Parade.
Among other duties, the police will handle traffic control during the course of the parades on public roads because of the roadblocks and detours necessary, and control the opening hours of establishments, watching to prevent the sale of alcohol to minors in public.
On the other hand, intensify controls on alcohol and public safety, street trading will be monitored and expanded controls prostitution, in order to get the parties elapsed without incident.
