Cartagena City Council has to collect the tax on Motor Vehicle (IVTM), which hopes to raise EUR 13,743,563.36.
Vehicles registered in the municipality of Cartagena reach the 145,253 units, which is 650 more than last year.
They are exempt from this tax vehicles owned or service disabled, for a total of 5,330 units, representing a decrease of revenue for municipal coffers of 601,615.86 euros.
Also exempt are 1,857 agricultural vehicles, for those that will raise EUR 187,713.54.
All these exemptions represent 5.30 per cent (7699 receipts) of the total of registered vehicles.
PAYMENT IN OFFICES, AND INTERNET TELLER
Sources of collection management Autonomous Body of the City of Cartagena (OAGRC), explained that 19 percent of the receipts shall be paid by direct debits.
The agency has been conducting long campaign to promote debit of these taxes, which has contributed to increase direct debits by 1 percent over the previous year.
For all other bills that are mailed to the homes of taxpayers, may be paid in offices, ATMs and services tax on the Internet Hall of the collaborating institutions: Cajamurcia, CAM, La Caixa and Cajamar can use the website to access them OAGRC. www.oagrc.com
To pay in cash, taxpayers must enter the keys contained in receipts.
Some ATMs have also been equipped with barcode readers which greatly facilitate the work and avoid errors.
Also there is the possibility of issuing printed receipts through the virtual office option on the aforementioned website OAGRC and proceed to payment collaborating institution.
Finally, remember that the deadline for voluntary payment at end on April 2, 2012.
