Retirees find the Easter customs of Cartagena.
A course of the Municipal Institute of Social Services has served the senior citizens to study and deepen in the processions of the port city.
The shortfin brother, Pedro Sanchez Negroles was the teacher of the course which will last until next Tuesday, February 14. Departure is at 10.30 am Building La Milagrosa.
Classes will end with a practical part where students will visit the shrines marrajas and Californias and the church of Santo Domingo and Santa Maria.
The tours will end at 12.30 hours in the building of La Milagrosa.
There, the councilman of Social Affairs, Antonio Calderon, will award the diplomas to the participants.
During the course the students have done a chronological journey through Holy Week in Cartagena, his steps, images and thrones, and the origins of the confraternities in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and Foundations of the confraternities.
It involved a group of 35 people between 65 and 70.
The aim of the classes was to bring the elderly and disabled people the knowledge of the environment, heritage and culture of the city.
