The pin, the check revealed and attraction are some of the tactics often used by professional chess players.
The same are the ones that have been used for a few days students of Elementary and Secondary School who participated in the VIII Chess Tournament Intercentros, which has been organized with the collaboration of ideas program the Youth Council.
The mayor of Youth, Ruth Collado, delivered today at noon at the IES Los Molinos prizes to the winners.
Collado has been very satisfied with the outcome of the tournament in which 80 young people participated.
Competed in the tournament have kids from 10 years to young people who are attending high school. The contest is divided into categories.
In one of them has grouped the primary and first cycle of that, while the other has done the same with the second cycle of ESO and Baccalaureate.
These activities are very positive as they interact with young children in other schools and learn to appreciate what it's like four hours seated playing chess, stressed Collado.
Centers that have registered in the competition are the IES Los Molinos, Jiménez de la Espada, Mediterranean, Isaac Peral, Ben and Jose Maria Lapuerta Arabi, among others.
This event was to promote the sport of chess among young students, creating a very positive according to the experience in previous years.
