The Contest strings and brass every time raises more interest.
It is the second year that the Music Conservatory of Cartagena receives a large number of entries. 95 musicians will participate in the XV edition of the event organized by the Youth Council with the conservatory in Cartagena.
Last year 104 applications were submitted, while the average in previous years of participation in seven sports in which the contest is divided was around 80 people.
Concervatorio participants come from the port city of Murcia and Lorca, Caravaca Molina.
And this year also come from two private schools of music in Murcia.
In the form of brass have signed up 24 people, woodwind, 21, on piano, 15, on guitar, 16-in cord, 10; on percussion, 6 and in the form of singing only 3.
Auditions will be in March, when the semi-finals will take place and in April will be final.
In addition, new this year as the fifteenth edition of Between Strings and Metals will close on May 4 at the Auditorium and Convention Centre, the Batel.
In the closing act, as guest soloist, next to the Cartagena Chamber Orchestra, Michelangelo Ros Soto, winner of the mode string last year.
