The Department of Women of Cartagena City Council has launched a competition to select the poster for the commemoration of the March 8, International Women's Day in Cartagena, in the year 2012, which seek to promote awareness among all women and all citizens of the rights to equality and the rejection of gender discrimination.
May participate in the call artists from the region of Murcia, over 18 years.
The works are presented in A-3 format and technique will be free.
May be submitted until February 16 to the council of Women, in the building of the Miraculous.
The works must be signed and attach a sealed envelope with the author's data (name, ID number, address and telephone).
Among the works submitted, the jury will make a shortlist of 20 that exhibited at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Center during the month of March.
The award will be for a single work and shall consist of 300 euros.
The winning work will become the property of City Hall.
The jury will be chaired by the Councillor for Women, Clara Heredia, and will be made ​​by technicians of the Department of Women and persons connected with the art world.
The decision will be announced in the bulletin board of the Department of Women and through the website of the City of Cartagena and the winner notified by telephone.
The prize may be awarded if the works submitted do not have the required minimum level.
