Within the course which has organized the Municipal Institute of Social Services, called Discover your city and its customs, 35 seniors have had the opportunity to know and work modernimo Beltrí Victor Cartagena, at the hands of the teacher and historian Juan Ignacio Fernández that Tuesday, the 24th, he gave a talk and be completed next January 31 with a modernist route.
They are elderly and disabled, aged between 65 and 70 years, which aims to raise awareness of the environment, heritage and culture of the city where they live.
The course consists of 12 sessions, in which alternating lectures on Tuesday morning in the classroom over the Miracle, with practical classes, where they visit museums, churches and roads of our city.
Activities began on 8 November with the Romanization in Cartagena and close on February 14 with a visit to the chapels of the guilds of Cartagena.
Sources from the Department of Social Services explained that this course is to improve social relationships and group of the elderly and disabled, developing curiosity and knowledge of the environment and cognitive self-esteem.
