Cartagena City Council will honor on Sunday, January 22, two neighbors of Mills Marfagones dedicating a square and the new music school in the locality.
The acts of nomination will be chaired by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro.
The first acts will be held at 12 am in the public space located in one of the Lebeche street corner, behind the public school Azorin, which will begin tomorrow to officially called Vicente Soto Solano Square, as agreed unanimously by the municipal council of Cartagena in April last year at the urging of the neighborhood council.
Vicente Soto is a neighbor of Marfagones Mills has dedicated his life to folk music and folklore of the Campo de Cartagena, in particular the Easter aguilandos, spreading among the young and integrating more than 50 years the Christmas Crew Marfagones Mill, which is responsible for 35, and is known to all the officers of the Campo de Cartagena and the Gang Vicente or Vincent the Species.
Along with the honoree himself, family and neighbors in the event also will be the Gang Mills Marfagones.
