Councillor for Finance and Personnel has said that the government decree applies nationwide and is considering a proposal that will be the negotiating table after the union elections of January 19
Councillor for Finance and Personnel, Fatima Suanzes, today expressed confidence in reaching an agreement with union officials and workers of the City Council regarding the application of extending working hours to all city staff.
According Suanzes the Extraordinary Measures Law decree published on 31 December the government of the nation affects all staff, including local administration, as reported yesterday to the unions, and this sets the working day in 1647 annualized hours.
Now what we are studying is the distribution of that time, continued explaining the councilor, that it is the responsibility of the staff meeting, and drafted a proposal to take to the negotiating table to be formed after the union election to City Council held on 19 January.
Councillor of Finance, which has advanced only to be a serious proposal that will be taken into account the variety of City staff (brigades, police, fire, etc..) Ensures understand initial rejection of the trade unions, logical, is not nobody dish taste to make it work more hours, but we have to enforce the decree law and I think, finally, be renewed the situation and reach an agreement with union representatives.
