The decision was adopted by an absolute majority of workers gathered at a meeting last December 22 in response to the dismissal of two workers of the center.
We reproduce below the statement issued by the workers of the center:
"Workers of the UNED Cartagena, gathered in assembly, on Thursday, December 22, 2011 and after the unfair dismissal of two colleagues, described as" inappropriate "by the same director, and the transfer of another fellow Cartagena Lorca without any reason to support it:
We require an absolute majority immediate dismissal of the director of the center, with the latter acts in contravention of agreements reached at the negotiating table, increasing confrontation with the workforce.
We call on the institutions participating in the consortium, not to shirk their responsibility, we believe it can continue to maintain in office who have been deceived, lying first on the economic and financial situation of the center, as has been demonstrated after the Economic Report of the Comptroller, and interpret trends second decisions of the Governing Board on September 12, in which she notes the note by the regional government of 09/15/11, it was recommended to take a wide range of solutions progressively value before entering any firing.
You can not continue to lead a public entity who has had enough cold, nevertheless, apply first the "Final Solution", almost half of its workers, regardless of work history or his or her personal and family and that despite not get it in principle and be forced to negotiate with them, continues to show his bad faith and arrogant character, retaliated with two fellow dismissal and transfer to a third from Lorca to Cartagena for the sake of exercising their rights.
Workers at the UNED, that from the day September 13, 2011, we live in a state of permanent anxiety, we know that these actions will continue with the same or worse, that the Director continues working on its own center, which workers do not fit right, but only submissive labor, versatile, cheap and obedient and we have no doubt that we would replace all of you fellows if that were possible.
It follows, therefore, undermine free obstinate workers and we fear that the arrival of their model is only a matter of time if the institutions do not take responsibility.
We recall that, although the Headquarters Uned member of the Consortium is the largest contributor to its funds, the Presidency of it lies in the
Regional Government of Murcia and the Vice President in the city of Cartagena, having an appointment with the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro Ms for over a month without having received a reply so far.
