From different sectors, but with a common motif: Christmas.
Eight businesses are finalists Cartagena Christmas Window Dressing Competition 2011 organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation and the Department of Commerce.
The selected establishments are located both downtown and in neighborhoods of Cartagena.
The windows that have most liked to the jury are the following shops: Farmasana (street Honda), Hardware Married Sanchez (calle del Carmen), Oasis Florist (Calle Principe de Asturias), Stationery Dina (Paseo de Alfonso XIII), Blue Whale (calle Alfonso XIII, in Los Dolores), Tea Corner (Bruna Angeles Street), The Cellar (Jiménez de la Espada street) and Butcher Vallés (Canal Street).
The windows have stood out for originality at the time of placing the Nativity, or the colorful Christmas decorations.
Most of those selected have placed a Christmas tree and Bethlehem, and other decorative elements.
The competition involved 51 establishments.
Of them in the end only three will be the prize of a trophy and a diploma.
The jury was formed of representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, the City Council, the Department of Consumer Affairs, Commerce and Handicrafts, as well as an expert in interior decoration of the International School of Design and a School of Design in our Region.
