Immigrants increase their knowledge of Spanish socio-political system, the Autonomous Community, the City of Cartagena and the port city.
The councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderón, yesterday presented the diplomas to the 25 foreigners who have participated in workshops for Active Citizenship organized by the Municipal Social Services.
These courses, aimed especially immigrants, are complementary to learning Spanish classes for foreigners.
Classes began on November 17 and ended last week, on 15 December.
Foreigners have studied in workshops on Spanish sociopolitical system, the Autonomous Community, the City of Cartagena, the city and living in neighborhoods, as well as the European Union, the municipal system of social services, education and health, women, training and employment .
One of the main objectives of this training was to inform immigrants of the new society, especially the rights and duties of the population.
During the presentation of diplomas, the students thanked the City Council provided support for integration into society Cartagena.
