On Wednesday, November 30, will close the course to the Light of Two Cities: Cartagena versus Rome, which has been celebrated in the Roman Theatre Museum, parallel to the exhibition of paintings by Diego Perez Pedro Casanova, on these two cities, with the aim of disseminating and spreading its cultural and historical legacy.
From eight o'clock in the afternoon, a panel discussion entitled Cartagena in the light of the times, the Cultural Heritage and Tourism, and the subsequent awarding of diplomas to the participants will be closing activities of this course, which has been organized by the Roman Theatre Museum and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
Through conferences scheduled in the course, wanted to signify the importance of the old Carthago Nova, the capital and port Carthaginensis conventus unavoidable within the trade routes that reach Mare Nostrum Rome itself.
In this sense, the dynamism that has made the archeology in recent years has allowed researchers developed a deep knowledge of the only Roman urbs of the Region, the old Carthago Nova.
Now you can guess fairly accurately its architecture, its main buildings are known, including some of the most emblematic Roman theater itself, but also everyday life with the discovery of the House of Fortune, or the thermal Agusteum Park Archaeological windlass.
To this we must add the strong commitment by administrations and musealization enhancement of the city, being essential to the cultural and economic revival of the Cartagena today.
